Celavive® Brightening Products

Celavive® Brightening

Advanced skincare series addresses the look of uneven skin tone and pigmentation for a beautifully balanced appearance.

Spots. Adorable on your puppy. Stylish on your favorite blouse. Possibly less delightful on your face and hands. If the appearance of spots—freckles, age spots, uneven skin tone, or other hyperpigmentation—is a source of sorrow, don’t get sad. Get even. See a clearer, more luminous complexion in just a few weeks with the Celavive® Brightening series.

There are four products in the Celavive Brightening line: Vivid White Sheet Mask, Light Complexion Serum, Dark Spot Corrector, and Luminous Moisture Cream. These products address complexion concerns in two important ways:

  1. Visibly fade the look of unwanted discoloration on the skin’s surface
  2. Maintain brightness by helping to resist the appearance of discoloration in the future (when used with smart sun protection)

Each product offers a unique formula that’s effective if used alone. But you’ll see a difference more quickly if you use all four. When used together, you’ll saturate your skin with eight brilliance-boosting ingredients. They all work in different ways to refine and brighten without the use of harsh, chemical bleaching agents. You’ll read more about those ingredients below.

If you use all four products, you can expect to see enhanced brightness in as little as one week and a more even-looking skin tone after one to two months. Results will be even more noticeable with continued use. Include the Brightening products in your Celavive Skincare regimen to reveal your skin’s most luminous look.

Stop seeing spots. Banish them for good and get even with Celavive Brightening products. All you’ll see is a perfectly balanced, beautiful complexion.

Melanin and Discoloration: Too Much of a Good Thing

Melanin is the pigment made in the top layer of your skin that’s the source of your skin color. Beyond that, its main role is protecting your skin by absorbing ultraviolet (UV) rays.

The types and amounts of melanin made in your skin can vary. They are controlled by your genes and can be influenced by internal and external factors, such as age, hormones, and environmental stressors like exposure to UV light.

Too much sunlight is one of the major causes of excess melanin production. With more and more sun exposure, a pocket of concentrated melanin can form that extends deep within your skin. This can show up as a dark spot or as blotchy, uneven skin tone. This hyperpigmentation

usually appears on the face, arms, hands, chest—any areas regularly exposed to the sun.

Usually, discoloration, age spots, and uneven skin tone are perfectly safe (just make sure to ask your doctor about large, irregularly shaped spots that are very dark or have multiple colors). But you may dislike how it looks and want a solution.

Because the concentrated melanin extends more deeply into your skin layers, it can’t simply be scrubbed away. It takes consistent use of effective topical products to fade the appearance of discoloration as your skin cells renew over time. And constant protection from the sun is required to maintain skin’s brightness and translucence.

Lighten Up Your Look with Niacinamide

There are many ingredients that can lighten the skin’s appearance. Some of the most common are hydroquinone, retinoids, and glycolic or azelaic acid. However, these may cause skin sensitivity and irritation.

There is a gentler option that’s been well-studied and found to be effective for refining the skin’s appearance. It’s a form of vitamin B3 called niacinamide (also known as nicotinamide).

Niacinamide is found in all of the Celavive Brightening products. Topical application of this vitamin soothes and moisturizes as it helps balance skin tone and boost radiance. Clinical trials have shown it can reduce the appearance of discoloration quickly, when used twice a day.

One study included 18 subjects with hyperpigmentation who used a five percent niacinamide moisturizer and plain moisturizer in a paired design. There was noticeably less visible pigmentation and increased luminosity in the niacinamide group after four weeks.

A second study of 50 women, ages 40 to 60, found that a five percent niacinamide cream provided significant improvements in the appearance of hyperpigmentation, skin tone, and texture after 12 weeks.

The Vivid White Sheet Mask, Light Complexion Serum, and Luminous Moisture Cream each contain two percent niacinamide. So, using the Celavive Brightening products together—along with the Dark Spot Corrector, which also contains a small amount—means you’ll build up the right level of niacinamide to deliver visibly dramatic brightening effects.

Skin brighteners tend to work best when used in combination. In addition to niacinamide, each Brightening product contains unique ingredients that will help further reduce the appearance of discoloration and beautifully balance your complexion.

Achieve Glowing Results with Vivid White Sheet Mask

Indulge in a luxurious, spa-like facial experience as you infuse active ingredients into your skin with the Celavive Brightening Vivid White Sheet Mask. Designed to work with your daily brightening routine, this face mask should be used three times a week to instantly turn up the wattage on your natural glow.

The potent formula of Vivid White Sheet Mask penetrates deep into the skin’s surface to immediately boost radiance with each use. It’s saturated with powerful brightening ingredients that improve the appearance of unwanted skin discoloration, balance your skin tone, and reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

Niacinamide and a touch of licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) in the mask are joined by Palmaria palmata extract to target discoloration. This marine-source ingredient supplies unique compounds from a red algae, also known as “dulse.”

Algae contains many biochemical compounds and nutrients that are beneficial for the skin. Palmaria palmata delivers proteins, lipids, and sugars that hydrate as they boost radiance. Research has shown this antioxidant-rich algae soothes and reduces the visible effects of spending time outdoors. And it works to fade the appearance of dark spots and even out skin tone (studied in Asian and Caucasian skin).

Vivid White Sheet Mask also drenches your skin in nourishing moisture that helps skin appear plumper and more youthful. Shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii) and jojoba-seed oil (Simmondsia chinensis) hydrate, rejuvenate, and refine to give your skin an instantly radiant and luminous look. It’s perfect for those times you really want to glow.

Your Radiance Shines with Light Complexion Serum

A flawless, translucent skin tone can be yours with the help of this high-performance serum. Apply Celavive Brightening Light Complexion Serum twice daily to reduce the appearance of unwanted pigmentation and uneven skin tone and to maintain a firm, lifted look.

This advanced serum helps to refine your overall complexion with ingredients that will make visible discoloration virtually disappear. Niacinamide is one, which works to fade the appearance of dark spots along with licorice-root extract.

Licorice is known by skincare experts to be one of the safest and most gentle naturally derived ingredients for refining skin’s appearance. It delivers antioxidant activity and also helps soothe skin as it brightens. This makes it a good choice for all skin types.

Japanese angelica root is another brilliance booster that gives your skin perfect clarity. It works by dispersing the appearance of discoloration on the surface of your skin, making it invisible to the eye. As the pigment is diffused, your skin tone will look bright, even, and flawless.

In only a couple of months, you’ll no longer need to apply heavy concealers or foundation to create a uniform skin tone. A small study found that applying Japanese angelica root extract visibly faded the appearance of age spots in only eight weeks.

Light Complexion Serum doesn’t just work to make skin look brighter and more even. It helps keep it that way, too.

Japanese angelica root has been shown to help resist the visible effects of exposure to outdoor elements. The antioxidants in the extract help support the look of firmer skin, with fewer lines and wrinkles. And they keep existing discoloration from looking darker after sun exposure. A two-month clinical trial found less darkening of age spots during seasonal increases of UV in those who applied a cream containing angelica root.

This environmental defense makes the Light Complexion Serum an important part of your daily skincare routine. It’s an excellent counterpart to sunscreen, which helps keep the sun’s rays from penetrating the surface of the skin. Use it as the first layer of protection, before you go outdoors, to bolster your skin’s defenses against the visible effects of photoaging caused by the sun.

Brighten Up Your Complexion with Dark Spot Corrector

Some spots are stubborn. The dense discoloration that extends deep within your skin may require extra attention to make it less noticeable. Celavive Brightening Dark Spot Corrector targets unwanted discoloration to visibly brighten and balance the look of age spots and hyperpigmentation. So, all anyone will notice is you.

You can apply this on-the-spot intensive solution with precision wherever you need it, using the targeted applicator tip. The Dark Spot Corrector is packed with niacinamide and two powerful ingredients that can help diminish the appearance, number, and intensity of dark spots, freckles, and other types of hyperpigmentation.

One of those ingredients is vitamin C, which is a well-known skin brightener. But not just any vitamin C will do. L-ascorbic acid, which is the chemically active form of vitamin C, can easily be degraded when exposed to air, light, or heat. This can make it almost useless when you apply it.

You need a stable vitamin C to ensure it works when applied to your skin. Dark Spot Corrector is made with a high concentration of the vitamin C form called ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate.

This premium skincare ingredient supplies stable, lipophilic (oil-soluble) vitamin C with superior absorption. It penetrates deep into the top layer of your skin to provide antioxidant activity as it works to fade the appearance of discoloration. One research trial showed that applying ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate to the skin for 56 days dramatically lightened the look of UV-induced pigmentation.

The complexion-refining benefits of vitamin C are enhanced by the addition of Aspergillus ferment.

Using fermented materials in skincare is a recent trend that began when anti-aging effects were seen on the hands of sake brewers in Japan. Fermented ingredients supply the beneficial compounds produced when bacteria break down natural products like soybeans, various plants, or—in the case of Dark Spot Corrector—rice.

The rice is fermented by bacteria from Aspergillus oryzae, which is known in Japan as a koji mold. Applying mold to your face may not sound appealing. And, in fact, you aren’t applying a mold.

The Aspergillus is rich in enzymes, organic acids, and bacteria that digest (or feed on) the cell walls of the rice to release the bioactive compounds. These compounds are what goes into your skincare. This makes the Aspergillus ferment in Dark Spot Corrector a postbiotic. It supplies the beneficial substances produced by bacterial fermentation, without any live bacteria.

The compounds made by Aspergillus-fermented rice bran are a source of many different types of natural acids, including kojic and citric acids. Targeted application of these acids can help promote dead skin-cell turnover for a refined, even skin tone and radiant appearance.

The exceptional effects of Aspergillus ferment can be visible in a short time. It has shown significant results in the look of translucence and brightness after only four weeks. This makes Dark Spot Corrector your go-to-solution for complexion perfection.

Illuminate Your Look with Luminous Moisture Cream

To give your skin a soft glow that appears lit from within, look no further than Celavive Brightening Luminous Moisture Cream. This velvety moisturizer will help address your pigmentation concerns as it visibly brightens, hydrates, and softens.

This lightweight cream will also help maintain your beautifully even complexion. It helps reduce the appearance of discoloration and photoaging in the future—when used with proper sun protection.

Use Luminous Moisture Cream under your daily moisturizer with sunscreen to shine bright all day. And apply it before bed to intensely nourish your skin while you sleep, so you can wake up to restored vibrancy in the morning. This antioxidant-rich cream is appropriate for all skin types.

Like the Dark Spot Corrector, vitamin C is one of the key ingredients in Luminous Moisture Cream. But it’s another form of stabilized vitamin C that acts differently.

Ascorbyl glucoside is long-lasting rather than deep penetrating. It’s designed to activate when you apply it to your skin. Once activated, it converts to vitamin C slowly to provide a hydrating infusion of this antioxidant all-day and all-night.

Long-lasting antioxidant defense means your skin has what it needs to maintain a refined complexion in the face of sunlight, pollution, and other environmental elements. Ascorbyl glucoside helps diminish visible hyperpigmentation and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also helps restore luster, a look of firmness, elasticity, and smoothness to your complexion.

Ascorbyl glucoside alone has been shown to help restore a naturally even, healthy glow in a little over a month. Sixteen women, ages 37 to 55, applied a cream containing ascorbyl glucoside to a hyperpigmented area of their face twice a day for 90 days. Skin brightness was significantly enhanced after 45 days, with an even more noticeable difference at the 90-day mark.

And ascorbyl glucoside isn’t the lone brightening ingredient in Luminous Moisture Cream.

Niacinamide is also part of the formula. And its action has been shown to be strengthened by the inclusion of another radiance magnifier: saccharide isomerate.

You may recognize saccharide isomerate as one of the active ingredients in Celavive Exfoliating Scrub+Mask. And, indeed, the two products complement each other when it comes to lightening and brightening your skin’s appearance. That’s because regular exfoliation will also help your skin look smoother and more even.

The saccharide isomerate used in Luminous Moisture Cream is slightly different, because it’s been processed to optimize absorption into your skin. This hydrating polysaccharide (sugar) will help support your skin’s natural renewal process, refine the look of pores, and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation. It also helps reduce the visible effects of stresses, such as exposure to the sun’s UV rays and urban pollutants like car exhaust.

So, over time it will help skin appear lighter and more radiant.

Twenty-five healthy Asian women, ages 40 to 65, applied a cream containing saccharide isomerate to a dark spot for 84 days. It began working in as little as two weeks. And fewer dark spots were visible after about two months. At the end of the study, on average, spots measurably appeared 17 percent lighter (all the way up to 67 percent lighter). And 90 percent of the participants reported the appearance of fewer dark spots, more even skin tone, and a more translucent complexion.

It’s time to let your inner light shine. Your skin will glow with a naturally radiant look when you consistently apply Luminous Moisture Cream.

Frequently Asked Questions About Celavive Brightening Products

The Celavive Brightening products have been formulated to safely work for all skin types using gentle ingredients. They are free from hydroquinone, steroids, and mercury. However, even naturally derived lightening agents may cause sensitivity.

If you have sensitive skin, we recommend you conduct a patch test of the full regimen you plan to use to see if your skin will react. This is especially important if you plan to use all four products, which adds up to a significant amount of niacinamide.

Simply apply a light amount of the product(s) to clean skin on the side of your neck. If you prefer, you can apply the product(s) to the inside of your upper arms; however, the skin closest to where you’ll apply the product(s) is best. Wait 24 to 72 hours. Reactions will usually occur within this amount of time. If you see any redness or irritation, remove some products from your regimen and/or discontinue use.

You should see a visible difference in brightness by the three-month mark. However, all skin creams and procedures that are designed to lighten the skin, including laser treatments and chemical peels, only work within the top layers of your skin. Once brightening effects are achieved, it is critical that you avoid direct sun exposure as much as possible and wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily to maintain your desired look. Hormone changes, pregnancy, or other lifestyle factors may also come into play and can cause your appearance to change.

We recommend you always check with your health-care provider.

The products are designed to be used on the face, but they may also be applied to other areas, such as your chest, legs, or back of your hands.
