Malgr\u00e9 certaines disparit\u00e9s, des travaux de recherche ant\u00e9rieurs ont montr\u00e9 que le lycop\u00e8ne favorise tout probablement la sant\u00e9 cardiaque. R\u00e8gle g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, les \u00e9tudes mesurant le taux de lycop\u00e8ne en circulation \u00e9tablissaient un lien inverse entre le risque de maladie cardiovasculaire et le taux de lycop\u00e8ne, tandis que d\u2019autres \u00e9tudes portant seulement sur un apport de lycop\u00e8ne par l\u2019alimentation ou la prise de suppl\u00e9ments n\u2019\u00e9taient pas aussi concluantes.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le cadre de l\u2019\u00e9tude Framingham Offspring Study publi\u00e9e dans le <em>British Journal of Nutrition<\/em>, des chercheurs ont analys\u00e9 l\u2019apport en lycop\u00e8ne chez 584 participants. Des mesures r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9es de cet apport ont \u00e9t\u00e9 prises pendant une p\u00e9riode de 10 ans afin de caract\u00e9riser le lien entre l\u2019apport en lycop\u00e8ne et l\u2019incidence de maladie cardiovasculaire, de maladie coronarienne (comprenant l&#8217;infarctus du myocarde, l&#8217;insuffisance coronarienne et l&#8217;angine de poitrine) et d\u2019accident vasculaire c\u00e9r\u00e9bral.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019 apport quotidien moyen en lycop\u00e8ne des sujets de l\u2019\u00e9tude \u00e9tait de 7,9 mg. L\u2019analyse des donn\u00e9es a permis d\u2019associer l\u2019apport moyen le plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 \u00e0 une incidence r\u00e9duite de 17 % de la maladie cardiovasculaire et de 26 % de la maladie coronarienne. Aucun lien n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tabli entre l\u2019apport en lycop\u00e8ne et l\u2019incidence d\u2019accident vasculaire c\u00e9r\u00e9bral.<\/p>\n<p>Les r\u00e9sultats de cette \u00e9tude permettent de plus en plus de conclure \u00e0 un lien entre l\u2019apport en lycop\u00e8ne et un risque r\u00e9duit de maladie cardiovasculaire, mais le r\u00f4le possible d\u2019autres composants de la tomate et des produits de la tomate quant aux bienfaits observ\u00e9s demeure ind\u00e9termin\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/23317928\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jacques PF, Lyass A, Massaro JM, Vasan RS, D&#8217;Agostino Sr RB.
