Fumer impacte n\u00e9gativement les cellules qui entourent les vaisseaux sanguins (cellules endoth\u00e9liales) et r\u00e9duit la production d\u2019activateurs de plasminog\u00e8ne (t-PA) par l\u2019organisme, une substance impliqu\u00e9e dans la destruction normale de caillots au sein des vaisseaux. Des \u00e9tudes pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes ont li\u00e9 l\u2019huile de poisson \u00e0 des bienfaits de la sant\u00e9 cardiovasculaire associ\u00e9s \u00e0 des am\u00e9liorations des niveaux de lipides sanguins, de tension art\u00e9rielle, de rythme cardiaque, \u00e0 une r\u00e9duction de formation de caillots et \u00e0 une bonne sant\u00e9 vasculaire globale.<\/p>\n<p>Dans une \u00e9tude publi\u00e9e dans le journal <em>Heart<\/em>, des chercheurs se sont int\u00e9ress\u00e9s aux effets de la suppl\u00e9mentation d\u2019acides gras om\u00e9ga-3 sur la sant\u00e9 cardiovasculaire et sur la fonction vasculaire chez des fumeurs en sant\u00e9. L\u2019\u00e9tude, randomis\u00e9e, en double aveugle, hybride et contr\u00f4l\u00e9e avec placebo, comprenait 20 fumeurs de cigarettes \u00e0 qui on a donn\u00e9 soit 2 grammes d\u2019huile de poisson, soit un placebo, pendant une p\u00e9riode de six semaines.<\/p>\n<p>Les suppl\u00e9ments quotidiens d\u2019huile de poisson ont \u00e9t\u00e9 associ\u00e9s \u00e0 une augmentation de t-PA, le double du niveau du groupe du placebo. Les substances \u00e9tant connues pour dilater les vaisseaux sanguins, augmentant ainsi le flot sanguin, \u00e9taient plus importantes parmi le groupe qui consommait des suppl\u00e9ments d\u2019om\u00e9ga-3 que parmi le groupe du placebo.<\/p>\n<p>Cette \u00e9tude est la premi\u00e8re \u00e0 d\u00e9montrer que les acides gras om\u00e9ga-3 pourraient am\u00e9liorer la production endoth\u00e9liale t-PA et am\u00e9liorer la fonction vasomotrice endoth\u00e9liale chez les fumeurs de cigarettes. Les chercheurs remarquent cependant que si les suppl\u00e9ments om\u00e9ga-3 peuvent avoir am\u00e9lior\u00e9 la fonction vasculaire chez les fumeurs, ils ne sont pas susceptibles d\u2019\u00e9galer la fonction endoth\u00e9liale des non-fumeurs.
