Une faible consommation de magn\u00e9sium avait pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment \u00e9t\u00e9 associ\u00e9e \u00e0 une insulinor\u00e9sistance et \u00e0 une utilisation alt\u00e9r\u00e9e du glucose.<\/p>\n<p>Des chercheurs ont \u00e9valu\u00e9 des donn\u00e9es provenant de 17 592 hommes et femmes \u00e2g\u00e9s de 40 \u00e0 79 ans qui ont particip\u00e9 au groupe d\u2019\u00e9tude collaborative du Japon pour l\u2019\u00e9valuation des risques de cancer entre 1988 et 1990. Le magn\u00e9sium alimentaire \u00e9tait calcul\u00e9 en utilisant un questionnaire valid\u00e9, et l\u2019incidence de diab\u00e8te \u00e9tait d\u00e9finie par une auto-\u00e9valuation d\u2019un diagnostic m\u00e9dical.<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s un suivi de cinq ans, 459 nouveaux cas de diab\u00e8te ont \u00e9t\u00e9 rapport\u00e9s. La consommation alimentaire de magn\u00e9sium a \u00e9t\u00e9 inversement associ\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge, \u00e0 l\u2019indice de masse corporelle (IMC) et \u00e0 l\u2019incidence de diab\u00e8te chez les deux sexes.<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s avoir effectu\u00e9 des ajustements sur les facteurs de risques cardiovasculaires, les participants consommant le plus de magn\u00e9sium (consommation parmi le top 25 %) avaient un risque ajust\u00e9 36 % inf\u00e9rieur de d\u00e9velopper du diab\u00e8te.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5730\" src=\"https:\/\/askthescientists.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/1888883-300x200.jpg\" width=\"525\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/askthescientists.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/1888883-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/askthescientists.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/1888883-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/askthescientists.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/1888883-1030x687.jpg 1030w, https:\/\/askthescientists.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/1888883-1500x1000.jpg 1500w, https:\/\/askthescientists.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/1888883-705x470.jpg 705w, https:\/\/askthescientists.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/1888883-450x300.jpg 450w, https:\/\/askthescientists.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/1888883.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 525px) 100vw, 525px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>L\u2019incidence de diab\u00e8te de type 2 augmente dans les pays asiatiques, et cette \u00e9tude est la premi\u00e8re \u00e0 examiner l\u2019association entre consommation de magn\u00e9sium et risque de diab\u00e8te chez les adultes vivant au Japon.
