Il existe plusieurs facteurs de risque susceptibles de contribuer au d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019une maladie cardiaque. Certains facteurs, comme l\u2019\u00e2ge et les ant\u00e9c\u00e9dents familiaux, ne peuvent \u00eatre modifi\u00e9s. Par contre, le tabagisme, une alimentation m\u00e9diocre, le manque d\u2019exercice et l\u2019hypertension art\u00e9rielle sont des facteurs de risque que l\u2019on peut modifier par le choix d\u2019un style de vie plus sain.<\/p>\n<p>Une \u00e9tude pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e dans le cadre des Rencontres scientifiques\u00a02016 de la American Heart Association indiquait que la tension art\u00e9rielle systolique et diastolique \u00e9tait moins \u00e9lev\u00e9e chez les jeunes adultes en sant\u00e9 avec le plus fort taux sanguin d\u2019acides gras om\u00e9ga-3 par rapport \u00e0 ceux dont le taux sanguin de ces acides \u00e9tait plus faible.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9tude portait sur 2 036 jeunes adultes. Les chercheurs ont mesur\u00e9 la tension art\u00e9rielle et le taux sanguin d\u2019om\u00e9ga-3 des participants. Les sujets \u00e9taient r\u00e9partis en quatre groupes, selon leur taux sanguin d\u2019acides gras om\u00e9ga-3, allant du plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 au plus faible. Les adultes avec un taux sanguin plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 d\u2019acides gras om\u00e9ga-3 avaient une tension art\u00e9rielle systolique et diastolique moins \u00e9lev\u00e9e, comparativement \u00e0 ceux avec le plus faible taux sanguin de ces acides. Ce n\u2019est pas la premi\u00e8re \u00e9tude qui associe les acides gras om\u00e9ga-3 \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 cardiaque.<\/p>\n<p>On trouve surtout ces gras importants dans le poisson et certains types d\u2019huiles v\u00e9g\u00e9tales. L\u2019acide eicosapenta\u00e9no\u00efque (AEP) et l\u2019acide docosahexa\u00e9no\u00efque (ADH) proviennent en grande partie du poisson, en particulier des poissons d\u2019eaux froides comme le saumon, le thon, le maquereau et les sardines. Ces acides sont parfois appel\u00e9s om\u00e9ga-3 de source marine. On trouve principalement l\u2019acide alpha-linol\u00e9nique (ALA) dans les huiles v\u00e9g\u00e9tales, les noix (surtout les noix de Grenoble), les graines de lin et l\u2019huile de graine de lin. R\u00e8gle g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, l\u2019humain utilise l\u2019ALA comme source d\u2019\u00e9nergie et la conversion en AEP et ADH est tr\u00e8s limit\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Cette \u00e9tude confirme une fois de plus qu\u2019un r\u00e9gime alimentaire riche en acides gras om\u00e9ga-3 peut favoriser la sant\u00e9 cardiaque et pourrait m\u00eame aider \u00e0 pr\u00e9venir la tension art\u00e9rielle \u00e9lev\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/news.heart.org\/diet-rich-in-omega-3s-lowers-blood-pressure-in-young-healthy-adults\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">American Heart Association\u2019s Scientific Sessions 2016. http:\/\/news.heart.org\/diet-rich-in-omega-3s-lowers-blood-pressure-in-young-healthy-adults\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/27440746\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Clark CM, Monahan KD, Drew RC.
