L&#8217;\u00e9tude comprenait un peu plus de 20 000 hommes et femmes britanniques d\u2019\u00e2ge adulte. On a demand\u00e9 aux participants de remplir un questionnaire sur la sant\u00e9 et de visiter une clinique entre 1993 et 1997.<\/p>\n<p>Au bout d\u2019une p\u00e9riode de suivi moyenne de 9,5 ans, les participants se trouvant dans les 4<sup>e<\/sup> premiers niveaux de concentrations plasmatiques en vitamine C ont diminu\u00e9 de 42 % leur risque d\u2019accident vasculaire c\u00e9r\u00e9bral par rapport \u00e0 ceux qui avaient des niveaux plus faibles.\u00a0 Ces r\u00e9sultats \u00e9taient ind\u00e9pendants de l\u2019\u00e2ge, du sexe, de la consommation de tabac ou d\u2019alcool, de l\u2019indice de masse corporelle, de l\u2019hypertension, du diab\u00e8te, de la classe sociale et de l\u2019utilisation de compl\u00e9ments.<\/p>\n<p>Par cons\u00e9quent, les concentrations plasmatiques en vitamine C pourraient s\u2019av\u00e9rer \u00eatre associ\u00e9es au mode de vie ou \u00e0 d\u2019autres facteurs li\u00e9s \u00e0 la diminution des risques d\u2019accident vasculaire c\u00e9r\u00e9bral et pourraient aider \u00e0 identifier les personnes les plus susceptibles de subir un AVC.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ajcn.nutrition.org\/content\/87\/1\/5.full\">American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Vol. 87, No. 1, 64-69, January 2008.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Une \u00e9tude publi\u00e9e dans la revue American Journal of Clinical Nutrition a examin\u00e9 la relation entre les concentrations plasmatiques en vitamine C et le risque d&#8217;accident vasculaire c\u00e9r\u00e9bral.
