A continuaci\u00f3n analizamos temas de nutrici\u00f3n infantil para que usted pueda distinguir entre realidad y ficci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Declaraci\u00f3n: El jugo es tan saludable como la fruta entera<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Hay una raz\u00f3n por la que supuestamente usted debe tomar de 2 a 4 raciones de fruta al d\u00eda. Estudios van y estudios vienen sobre c\u00f3mo la fruta favorece una buena salud, por eso su m\u00e9dico probablemente le ha aconsejado que coma m\u00e1s fruta.<\/p>\n<p>Si la fruta es buena para usted, \u00bfentonces el jugo de fruta no deber\u00eda ser igualmente bueno? Durante mucho tiempo, la gente pens\u00f3 que la fruta entera y su contraparte l\u00edquida eran nutricionalmente equivalentes, pero hay nuevas evidencias en contrario.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/askthescientists.com\/es\/whole-fruit-versus-fruit-juice-eat-drink\/\"><u>En un estudio reciente publicado en <em>Nutrients <\/em>\u2014y llevado a cabo por cient\u00edficos de USANA\u2014<\/u><\/a>se encontr\u00f3 una diferencia significativa que se remonta a su ADN.<\/p>\n<p>Los sujetos del estudio que consumieron fruta entera exhibieron firmas epig\u00e9nicas diferentes en regiones espec\u00edficas del ADN no observables en quienes bebieron el jugo. (Las firmas epig\u00e9nicas son los c\u00f3digos qu\u00edmicos que encienden y apagan el interruptor de los genes). En quienes com\u00edan la fruta entera se ve\u00eda activaci\u00f3n cercana a v\u00edas implicadas en la funci\u00f3n inmunitaria, la integridad cromos\u00f3mica y el mantenimiento de los tel\u00f3meros. Quienes beb\u00edan el jugo, mostraban activaci\u00f3n cercana a v\u00edas proinflamatorias.<\/p>\n<p>El estudio apunta a la fibra como principal inductor de dichas diferencias. Adem\u00e1s, es bien sabido que <a href=\"https:\/\/askthescientists.com\/es\/?post_type=qa&#038;p=10485\">el consumo de fibra impacta en el microbioma<u><\/u><\/a>, y a su vez, en la absorci\u00f3n de ciertos nutrientes.<\/p>\n<p>El jugo es pr\u00e1ctico y sabroso, pero la cantidad de az\u00facar que contiene la mayor\u00eda de los jugos, la carencia de fibra y los diferentes impactos epig\u00e9nicos hacen de la fruta entera la opci\u00f3n m\u00e1s saludable.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Veredicto: Falso<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Declaraci\u00f3n: La zanahoria puede ayudarle a ver en la oscuridad<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Durante d\u00e9cadas \u2014tal vez incluso siglos\u2014 los padres dijeron a los ni\u00f1os que la zanahoria pod\u00eda ayudarles a ver en la oscuridad, pero obviamente se trataba de una t\u00e1ctica para incrementar su inter\u00e9s en comer verduras. No obstante, algo de verdad puede haber en ello.<\/p>\n<p>Obviamente, la zanahoria (y b\u00e1sicamente ninguna otra sustancia) no va a dar superpoderes a sus hijos: la vida no es como en las historietas, pero esto no significa que la zanahoria no tenga que ver con la salud de la vista. S\u00ed hay una relaci\u00f3n, y se debe en gran medida al betacaroteno que le da su color naranja.<\/p>\n<p>El betacaroteno\u00a0es un carotenoide provitamina A, pigmento vegetal que se encuentra en frutas y verduras y que tambi\u00e9n funciona como mol\u00e9cula antioxidante. Si bien la <a href=\"https:\/\/askthescientists.com\/es\/qa\/zeaxantina\/\">zeaxantina<\/a>, la <a href=\"https:\/\/askthescientists.com\/es\/qa\/luteina\/\">lute\u00edna<\/a>, y el licopeno forman parte de la misma familia de antioxidantes carotenoides, no favorecen la actividad de la vitamina A, pero la capacidad del betacaroteno para convertirse en vitamina A en el organismo es importante para una buena visi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Aunque la zanahoria no infunde el poder de visi\u00f3n nocturna a los ni\u00f1os, s\u00ed contiene nutrientes que ayudan a que los ojos se mantengan saludables.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Veredicto: Verdadero, hasta cierto punto<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Declaraci\u00f3n: El desayuno es la comida m\u00e1s importante del d\u00eda<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Este antiguo adagio parece caer en o\u00eddos sordos, pues pr\u00e1cticamente la mitad de las familias estadounidenses no desayuna regularmente, omiten el desayuno. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthychildren.org\/spanish\/healthy-living\/nutrition\/paginas\/the-case-for-eating-breakfast.aspx\"><u>Algunos estudios han relacionado el desayuno<\/u><\/a>\u00a0con el desempe\u00f1o acad\u00e9mico, la memoria, el peso saludable, el estado de \u00e1nimo y m\u00e1s.<\/p>\n<p>Y hay algo que decir respecto de empezar el d\u00eda consumiendo alimentos saludables balanceados. Ingerir prote\u00ednas, carbohidratos complejos, grasas saludables y granos enteros (con fibra saludable) es una buena base para el d\u00eda y puede ayudar a que sus hijos se sientan satisfechos. Este enfoque saludable y balanceado tambi\u00e9n evita los bajones que pueden causar los cereales azucarados.<\/p>\n<p>Los alimentos que toman sus hijos por la ma\u00f1ana son importantes, pero pueden dar lugar a opciones deficientes durante el d\u00eda. Los paladares pueden cambiar a lo largo de la vida, pero es vital ayudar a los ni\u00f1os a disfrutar los alimentos saludables, como las verduras, desde el principio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Veredicto: Falso<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Son m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os, comen menos, pero casi todos los padres saben que eso no significa que sea f\u00e1cil proporcionar a los ni\u00f1os todos los nutrientes que necesitan.<\/p>\n<p>Es muy importante proporcionar a los ni\u00f1os lo que necesitan para apoyar el crecimiento de la mente y el cuerpo.
