Un estudio compar\u00f3 los niveles de macronutrientes y micronutrientes en los alimentos escogidos por mujeres que segu\u00edan dos programas diferentes para perder peso.<\/p>\n<p>Noventa y seis mujeres obesas o\u00a0 con sobrepeso siguiendo una vida saludable de manera general fueron ubicadas aleatoriamente en dos grupos de tratamiento: el Grupo de Alimentos Tradicionales (GAT) y el Grupo de Sustitutos de Alimentos (GSA). El GSA inclu\u00eda el consumo de 1 a 2 bebidas o barras sustitutas de comidas por d\u00eda.\u00a0 Ambos grupos buscaban limitar los niveles energ\u00e9ticos a aproximadamente 1300 calor\u00edas diarias.<\/p>\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de una a\u00f1o, la reducci\u00f3n de peso no fue tan significativamente diferente entre los grupos, y ambos reflejaron \u00edndices de macronutrientes (carbohidratos, prote\u00ednas y grasas) que estaban dentro de los rangos recomendados. Los dos grupos mostraron un mejor r\u00e9gimen diet\u00e9tico en relaci\u00f3n al descenso del nivel de grasas saturadas, colesterol y sodio, al aumentar el total de porciones diarias de frutas y vegetales.
